Verna was a beautifully simple and faithful woman who touched me deeply during her volunteer days at Grand View. I considered myself lucky to see her and blessed each time we said hello. I appreciated the joy and love she felt for her family, and her deep commitment to and love for God. Most notably, Verna was a gentle spirit who had wisdom to share without speaking and who always made time for a kind gesture or sweet hug. I did not know her well but I truly adored her. She was a blessing I will never forget encountering on this journey of life and I find peace in knowing that she is home where she yearned to be.
