What is often thought of as a great time to shop, our proud nation set aside a day to celebrate those of it`s citizenry brave and strong who sacrificed blood, sweat and tears in service of freedom. Duty and honor are nice flashy words, meaning something quickly lost on those whose lives are not so governed. Rick often spent his Veteran`s Days in quiet solitude, then enjoying a festive meal coupled w/ 'Stripes' and a M*A*S*H marathon. Time permitting, we would even throw in a showing of 'Spies Like Us' just for a few belly laughs. Rick did not forget his fallen/ lost brothers in arms and I pray that we never do as well. I will most likely continue to share stories to keep this page alive. Rick is gone now from this earth yet I imagine him working dilligently for the army of the Lord. Rest in peace my good man, my knight in shining armour and the best husband a gal could ever hope for... ALLONS!
