Mentor

Vince was my friend and mentor. One of the more memorable moments in my career was being part of a team led by Vince in an attempt to buy a company recognized as one of the industry's best. Somewhat of a David and Goliath story. I learned valuable lessons about business and negotiation from Vince, and that experience was more fun than I expected. One of the memories that I laugh about all the time was my lack  engineering fashion sense. Being a hands on engineer, I never wore trousers with a crease. The night before we left to meet with a potential finacial backer, as Vince was leaving my office, he laughed and told me wear pants with a crease. We both laughed. The next day when we met for breakfast, he gave me a thumbs up - my pants had a crease.

Vince will be sorely missed and always remembered.  Robert Werner
