Obituary for Kathryn M. Bolen

Kathryn M. Bolen
Kathryn M. Bolen, of Sellersville, formerly of Quakertown, entered into eternal life Friday, August 26, 2016, at her residence. She was 83.

She was born in York Springs, Adams County and grew up in the Lancaster area.

Katie was a longtime resident and friend of LifePath, Sellersville.

She had most recently attended St. Agnes Catholic Church, Sellersville. Prior to that, she had attended St. Isidore Catholic Church, Quakertown.

Katie had been a member of the Quakertown Senior Center and, most recently, a member of the Senior Center at the Community at Rockhill, retiring in 2013.

She loved to clean and volunteered as a housekeeper in the Lifepath offices. Prior to that, she was part of a mobile cleaning crew that had cleaned several local facilities.

Katie loved baking, doing crafts, and playing bingo. A thrift shop fan, Katie would generously gift her old clothes to her housemates. She was always concerned for others. Katie was also a cat lover, especially her current cat, “Cuddles,” who sat on her lap every day.

With a determined spirit, Katie knew what she wanted and expressed her opinions freely. She touched many lives and will be greatly missed.

Katie is survived by a cousin, Anna Kepner, of Gettysburg, and her current and former Lifepath housemates, staff, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her two cats, “Bridget” and “Eddie.”

Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, September 1, in St. Agnes Catholic Church, 445 North Main Street, Sellersville, PA 18960, where a visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of service.

Interment will follow in St. Isidore Catholic Church Cemetery, Quakertown.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to LifePath, 3500 High Point Boulevard, Bethlehem, PA 18017.
