Born in Garwood, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Domenick and Mae (Kulp) Naso.

Mr. Naso served from 1950 to 1957 in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard.

Sonny had been employed as a supervisor at Perkasie Industries, Perkasie. He had also worked as a huckster for Minningers in Philadelphia.

He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #1539, of Sellersville.

Sonny was an active member of the Sellersville Volunteer Fire Department for over 50 years, serving on the Carnival and Parades Committees, playing pitcher on the ball team, and being on-site at all of the Pennridge area’s most significant fires, including the Great Perkasie Fire of 1988 and the Selvil Theatre Fire of 1970. A fellow firefighter noted, "If a job needed to be done, Sonny was always there." Sonny had also helped renovate the old fire house banquet hall’s bar.

He had also served for many years on the Zoning Hearing Board for Sellersville Borough. During the 1974 Borough Centennial events, he participated in "Brothers of the Brush" activities.

Mr. Naso was a lifetime member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, Sellersville, where he had served as an usher. He also was a pitcher for the parish softball team.

In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and going to yard sales. With his wife, he enjoyed traveling, especially to Jamaica, Hawaii, and Walt Disney World. He most loved spending time with his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Sonny is survived by two daughters: Sheila Barlow; and Sharon Glasgow, and her husband, Doug; four grandchildren: Tyffani Hubrich, and her husband, Brian; Fred Krikory, and his wife, Cara; Angela Barlow; and Dominick Barlow; and six great-granddaughters.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Michalena "Mickey" Mitchell, and a brother, Joseph E. Naso.
