Norman J. Valentine, Sr.
Norman J. Valentine, Sr., passed away Saturday, September 9, 2017, at The Community at Rockhill, Sellersville. He was 93.
He was the husband of the late Lois G. (Jerman) Valentine, who died September 21, 2009.
Born in Kingston, New York, he was the son of the late Francis and Florence (Price) Valentine.
Mr. Valentine was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran, having served in World War II in the 8th Air Force, 385th Bomb Group, 14th Bomb Wing, in England.
Norman had been employed as a mechanical engineer in the computer industry, working for Univac in Blue Bell and Decision Data in Willow Grove.
After his retirement, Norman worked many years, repairing clocks and watches for local jewelry stores and others. He was a long-time member of the local Clock Club.
He is survived by his children, Norman J., Jr. “Jim” Valentine (Laureen L.), of Lansdale; and Sue A. Snyder (Nelson, Jr. “Lee”), of Sellersville; three grandchildren; and five great- grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Robin C. Valentine, and two brothers, Frank and Earl.
His funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, September 18, 2017, in the Chapel at The Community at Rockhill, 3250 State Road, Sellersville, PA, 18960, where a visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m.
Interment will be private in Rose Hill Cemetery, Ambler.
