Jeffrey R. Ford, formerly of Perkasie, Telford, and North Wales, passed away on Friday, June 28, 2013, at Towne Manor West Nursing Center, Norristown. He was 45.

He was the beloved husband of Cheryl (Aldridge) Ford for 24 years.

Born in Jacksonville, Florida, he was adopted by Phyllis (Vandegrift) Fretz and the late John Dennis Fretz. Jeff was a 1986 graduate of North Penn High School, Lansdale.

He had been employed for nearly 20 years in residential construction by Timothy Schaffer Roofing and Siding, of Telford.

Jeff had played softball for Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, Hilltown.

A passionate outdoorsman, Jeff loved snowmobiling, archery hunting, boating, fishing, and camping. He also enjoyed golfing, drag racing and working on car engines. He loved riding dirt bikes with his friends and, most especially, racing 4-wheelers with his son.

In addition to his wife and mother, Jeff is survived by his three children: Jeffrey Ford, Jr., of Doylestown; Adrienne Fretz; and Tanya Scarpiello, of New Jersey; two brothers: Gene Fretz and Greg Fretz; several aunts and cousins; his in-laws: Aubrey Aldridge, of Salem, Massachusetts; and Carol Riley, of Hatfield; and his dog, “Dude.”

His memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 2, in the Betty Meier Steeley Funeral Home, 87 North Main Street, Sellersville, PA 18960. Family and friends may call from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
