Sister Mary Julia McKenzie, Grief Counselor and Chaplain A Lutheran Deaconess, Sister Mary Julia became a part of the Steeley Funeral Home family in 2003.  From 2000 to 2010, Sister was a Pastoral Assistant at St. Michael's Lutheran Church in Sellersville, where she managed their Senior Ministry Program.

She also worked at the Lutheran Community at Telford for four years, aiding individuals and families as they dealt with "end of life" issues and bereavement.

Sister Mary Julia is an active member of Emmanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Souderton, where she volunteers as a worship assistant and Vacation Bible School teacher.

Born in the Kensington section of Philadelphia, she currently resides in Sellersville.  In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, watercolor painting, reading science fiction, and watching vintage movies, opera, ballet, and live theater.
