Josephine G. (Kopp) Zacirka

Josephine G. Zacirka, 84, a life-long resident of Sellersville, passed away peacefully Thursday, April 3, in Clare Bridge-Brookdale Senior Living, Dublin. She was the wife of the late John W. Zacirka, who died in 2005. They had been married 63 years.

Born in Argus (Sellersville), she was a daughter of the late Francis and Christiana Kopp.

A homemaker for most of her life, Mrs. Zacirka was employed as a welder at the US Gauge, Sellersville, during World War II.

She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, Sellersville after her marriage but had grown up attending Jerusalem Lutheran Church, Almont.

Mrs. Zacirka loved to garden, work in her yard, and plant flowers. She also enjoyed sitting outdoors with her husband in the spring and summer.

She is survived by her son: Dean S. Zacirka and his wife, Bernadette, Sellersville; five grandchildren; and a brother, Edward Kopp, Florida. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, John Dale Zacirka.

Family and friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Wednesday, April 9, at 11:30 AM in the Steeley Funeral Home, 87 North Main Street, Sellersville, PA. There are no calling hours. Interment will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery, Sellersville.
