Ildiko E. (Salamon) Young
April 7, 1941 — May 23, 2008
Ildiko E. Young, 67, a 30 year resident of Harleysville, passed away Friday, May 23, in Delaware County Memorial Hospital, Upper Darby. She was the wife of Leslie W. Young. They were married 43 years.
Born in Budapest, Hungary, she was the daughter of the late Laszlo and Adel (Morgenstern) Salamon. She came to the United States in 1949, along with her parents and brother, settling in East Norriton.
She was a graduate of Norristown High School and Cedar Crest College, Allentown. Along with her husband, Mrs. Young owned and operated a sheet metal business, L & I Precision, Lansdale before retiring in 2006. She had previously been employed as a case worker for the State of Pennsylvania and with Mature Temps, Plymouth Meeting.
Mrs. Young loved gardening, cooking, reading and music.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a brother: Attila and his wife, Shirley, Line Lexington; two nephews: Mark D. Salamon and his wife, Melissa A., Coopersburg; and Eric J. Salamon and his wife ,Olivia, Seattle, Washington; a niece: Sandra Smith, Lincoln, New Mexico; and three great-nieces.
There will be no services.
