Charles Kenneth Wyllie

February 3, 1934 — September 26, 2015

Charles Kenneth Wyllie, of Perkasie, formerly of Sellersville, passed away Saturday, September 26, 2015 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was 81.

He was the beloved husband of Dawn (Nace) Wyllie for 51 years.

Born in Bedminster, he was the son of the late Albert and Edna (Nielsen) Wyllie. Charlie was a 1952 graduate of Sell-Perk High School, where he had played football.

Mr. Wyllie was a veteran of the U.S. Army and the Pennsylvania National Guard.

Employed as a lineman for PP&L for his entire career, Mr. Wyllie had been based in Sellersville and Telford.

Charlie was a 50-year member of the Perkasie Owls Nest No.1224, where he had served as a past President, Secretary, and Treasurer. He was also a 50-year member of the Loyal Order of Moose, No. 1539, Sellersville.

A 32nd degree Mason with the Lehigh Consistory, Allentown, Mr. Wyllie was a member of MacCalla Lodge No. 596 F. & A.M., Souderton.

As a younger man, Charlie had played softball for various local teams. Mr. Wyllie loved spending time with his family, especially his grandson.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Brad Bishop and his wife, Joy, of Martinsburg, West Virginia; Brent Bishop; Todd Bishop; Mark Trumbauer; and Shari Wyllie and her partner, Terrie, all of Perkasie; grandchildren; a sister, Jeanne Everett, of California; and his yellow Lab, “Barney.”

He was preceded in death by three sisters, Roberta Hobbs, Dorothea Stevens, and Lorraine Lawn, and a brother, Robert Wyllie.
