Anna Mae Wietecha, of Hilltown Township, entered into eternal life on Monday, March 9, 2015, at her residence. She was the beloved wife of Fred M. Wietecha for 59 years. She was 86.
Born in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna (Polencar) Kanuck.
Anna Mae was a graduate of Saints Cyril and Methodius Convent School, now known as St. Cyril Academy, of Danville.
Mrs. Wietecha was a homemaker.
She was a long-time member of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Hilltown.
Anna Mae loved to read and do word and crossword puzzles. A bird lover, she especially enjoyed the beauty of the cardinal. She most loved spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her two sons, Gregory F. Wietecha, and his wife, Sheila, of Nazareth; Gary T. Wietecha, M.D., and his partner, Calvin Jenkins, of Lansdale; a sister, Justine Edelman, of Bethlehem; and the two grand dogs, “Gus” and “Stella.”
She was preceded in death by her sister, Irene Denes.
A visitation will be held from 7-8:30 p.m., Friday, March 13, in the Betty Meier Steeley Funeral Home, 87 North Main Street, Sellersville, PA 18960. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, March 14, in Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Rte. 152 & Broad Street, Hilltown, PA 18927, with a visitation at the church from 9:30 a.m. until time of service.
Interment will be in Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Hilltown.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Mrs. Wietecha’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
