Floyd Kulp Wenger, 79, a long-time resident of West Rockhill Township, formerly of Souderton, passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2011, in Abington Hospice at Warminster, Warminster Township. He was the husband of Alta (Beaumont) Wenger for 47 years.
Born in Souderton, he was the son of the late Jacob and Mary (Kulp) Wenger. He was a 1950 graduate of Souderton High School.
After high school, Mr. Wenger was employed at Lansdale Tile. He then worked for many years in the paint department and as an inspector at the U.S. Gauge Division of Ametek, Inc., Sellersville, retiring in 1997.
Floyd loved nature and the outdoors. He especially enjoyed playing golf, skiing, bicycling, hiking, camping, and exercising. He and his wife, Alta, had many fond memories of traveling in their motor home throughout the country, particularly in New England, with their four dogs and four cats.
In addition to his wife, Floyd is survived by a brother, C. Robert Wenger, and his wife, Carol, of Souderton; a sister, Doris Smith, and her husband, David, of Telford; many nieces and nephews; and his beloved pets: "Zoie" and "Greta," the dogs; and "Boris," "Annie," and "Holly," the cats.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Ray Wenger.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
