Dorothy M. “Dolly” Wambold, of Quakertown, formerly a longtime resident of West Rockhill Township, passed away Saturday evening, June 28. She was the beloved wife of Asher D. Wambold, Sr., who died in 1980. She was 88 years young.
Born in Quakertown, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Anna (Harris) Scholl.
A homemaker, Mrs. Wambold had worked the Oak Grove Farm, West Rockhill, along with her husband and her husband’s brother.
Dolly was a longtime member of Jerusalem Lutheran Church, (Almont), Sellersville, where she and her husband had assisted with Luther League.
She enjoyed cooking, crocheting and reading.
Dolly is survived by her three children: Asher D. “Jack” Wambold, Jr., and his wife, Betty, of Sellersville; Dorie Furness and her husband, Fred, of Quakertown; and Scott T. Wambold and his wife, Tracey, Sellersville; one sister, Annie Neubert, Quakertown; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Thursday morning, July 3, at 11:00 AM in Jerusalem Lutheran Church, (Almont), 733 Ridge Road, Sellersville, PA 18960 . Friends and family may call at the church Thursday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Interment will be in Jerusalem Union Cemetery (Almont), Sellersville.
