Joseph A. Viola, Jr., of Harleysville, passed away Saturday, June 29, 2024, in Grand View Hospital, West Rockhill Township. He was 85.
He was the beloved husband of Marie (Reinhardt) Viola for 65 years.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Joseph A., Sr. and Emily (Rogan) Viola.
Mr. Viola had been employed for 15 years as a printing bindery manager with Independence Press, Inc., of Philadelphia, and for 30 years as a bindery supervisor with Smith-Edwards-Dunlap Company, of Philadelphia.
Joe was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Lodge #813 in Ruskin. Florida.
An avid sports fan, Joe enjoyed fishing and golfing.
An honorable, hardworking man, Joe had a quirky sense of humor and a forthright manner, holding nothing back.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Viola is survived by his three daughters: Annamarie Viola and her husband, Michael Cinaglia, Lisa Bogan and her husband, Sam, and Linda Bougher and her husband, Frank; three grandchildren: Kait Sparks and her husband, Jeff, Derick Schmidt and his wife, Allie, and Brendan Schmidt; and a great-granddaughter, Adelaide Schmidt.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Ryan Joseph Viola.
