Elizabeth "Betty" (Spellane) Vagnoni
July 17, 1931 — June 16, 2008
Elizabeth “Betty” Vagnoni, 76, of Sellersville, formerly a longtime resident of Lafayette Hill, passed away on Monday, June 16, 2008, in Grand View Hospital, West Rockhill Township.
Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late William and Helen (McManis) Spellane. She had lived in Lafayette Hill for many years before moving to Sellersville a year ago to live with her daughter and son-in-law.
A homemaker most of her life, Betty was a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, Lafayette Hill. She enjoyed her home and watching soap operas. She loved all of her dogs, especially her daughter’s dog, “Pistol”.
Betty is survived by a daughter, Michele Smith and her husband, Jon, Sellersville; a son, Brian Vagnoni, Philadelphia; a sister, Patricia Suransky, Lansdale; and a brother, Bill Spellane, and his wife, Joanne, Havertown. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Suzanne; and two sisters: Helen Strickland and Gerrie LaPenta.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grand View Hospice, 700 Lawn Avenue, Sellersville, PA 18960.
