Jason P. Thorn

Jason P. Thorn, of Sellersville, formerly of Perkasie, Quakertown, and Coopersburg, passed away Saturday, May 13, 2017, in Lima. He was 37.

Born in West Rockhill Township, he was the son of Peter W. Thorn and his wife, Susan, of Newville, and Lynn (Hoke) Carpenter, of Perkasie.

Jason was employed as a mortgage broker. Previously, he had worked as a salesman for Nextel.

A self-taught drummer, he was also an avid golfer.

In addition to his parents, Jason will be lovingly remembered by his son, Evan R., of Pennsburg; a brother, Justin S. Carpenter, of Perkasie; and his paternal grandmother, Dolores K. Thorn, of South Carolina.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Ryan N. Thorn, his paternal grandfather, William P. Thorn; and his maternal grandparents, Paul W. and Elizabeth A. (Applegate) Hoke.

All are invited to a graveside service to be held at 9:30 a.m, Monday, May 22, 2017, in Sellersville Cemetery, 25 East Church Street, Sellersville, PA 18960.

A gathering will follow at 10:30 a.m. at Calvary Church, 820 Rte. 113, Souderton, PA 18964, until time of reception at 11 a.m..
