Catherine L. Swiderski

Catherine L. Swiderski, a long-time resident of Sellersville, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2019, in Grand View Hospital, West Rockhill Township. She was 82.

She was the beloved wife of the late Edward J. Swiderski, Sr. for 41 years until his death in 2001.

Born at home in Quakertown, she was the daughter of the late Steward and Elizabeth (Embraz) Loux. She had attended Sell-Perk High School.

Mrs. Swiderski was a homemaker.

A feisty, stubborn, no-nonsense woman, Catherine was very active well into her 80’s and still enjoyed walking her dog and mowing her lawn. She had also enjoyed casino trips and baking and cooking, especially eggplant dishes. She most loved having fun with family and friends.

Mrs. Swiderski is survived by her children, Edward J. Swiderski, Jr. and his wife, Dawn Howieson, of Quakertown, Elizabeth M. “Libby” Besch, of Sellersville; a granddaughter, Lily G. Swiderski; a step-grandson, Ben Schlegel, a brother, Willard J. Loux, of Perkasie; several nieces and nephews, Colleen, Penny, Craig, and Steward, and her cat, “Cinder,” and dog, “Bella.”

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Steward Loux.

Her memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 5, in the Betty Meier Steeley Funeral Home, 87 North Main Street, Sellersville, PA 18960, where a visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of service.

Interment will follow in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Perkasie.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family, in care of the funeral home, to help defray funeral expenses.
