Mary (Kurylak) Strus

Mary Strus, a 58 - year resident of Sellersville, passed away on Wednesday, May 9, 2007, in Grand View Hospital, West Rockhill Township. She was the beloved wife of the late Michael Strus, Sr., who died in 2000. She was 83.
Born in the Ukraine, she was a daughter of the late Basilius and Kathryn Kurylak. Mary and her husband came to the United States in 1949 and settled in Sellersville, where they lived for the remainder of their lives.
She had been employed for 20 years at the former De Loux Sweater Factory, Sellersville. Prior to that, she worked in a Perkasie cigar factory and as a cook at The Washington House, Sellersville.
Mary was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She was a longtime member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, Sellersville.
She is survived by her four sons: Dennis B. Strus, Palm; William B. Strus and his wife, Mary J., Brown's Mill, NJ; Stephen M. and his wife, Pat, Ambler; and Michael J., Sellersville., six grandchildren: Maryjean, Lisa, Jessica, Amy, Stephen, Jr. and Billy-Jo; and eleven great-grandchildren: Megan, Zachary, Jacquelyne, Crystal, Carrie, Levi, Jazmyn, Cheyenne, Desireé, Anastacia, and Shane.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, May 15, at 10: 00 AM in St. Agnes Catholic Church, 445 North Main Street, Sellersville. Family and friends may call Monday evening, May 14 from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM at the Betty Meier Steeley Funeral Home, 87 North Main Street, Sellersville and again on Tuesday morning at the church from 9:00 AM until 9:45 AM.
Interment will be in Sellersville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Agnes Catholic Church, 445 North Main Street, Sellersville, PA 18960.
