Beverly Stewart, of Telford, formerly of Sellersville, passed away Sunday, August 1, 2021, in St. Luke’s Hospital, Bethlehem. She was 69.
She was the beloved wife of James D. Stewart for 54 years.
Born in Sellersville, she was the daughter of the late Christian and Harriet (Reller) Vogel.
Beverly had worked for 20 years as an office manager for Benner & White Construction, Inc., of Harleysville.
Remembered as “best Memom ever” by her grandchildren, Mrs. Stewart was an adoring and doting grandmother, who could be counted on to make their favorite grilled cheese sandwiches and her specialties of lasagna and apple crisp. Always real and unfiltered, she loved to dance with family members at special occasions …or every Friday night! Family traditions always generated lots of laughter, from Jesse’s memories of her routine greeting to times spent by the pool with Sherrie.
An animal lover, Beverly always had a dog by her side. Beverly also did some light gardening, diligently caring for her tomato plants. She loved time spent with her husband and especially their annual February getaways to St. Lucia, Costa Rica, and various cruising locations.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Stewart is survived by her daughter, Sherrie Stewart, and her partner, Brian Teichman, of Telford; two grandchildren: Shane Stewart, of Lansdale, and Jesse Moyer, of Philadelphia; a great-grandchild, Casey Shisler; two sisters: Connie Moyer and her husband, Butch, of Telford, and Chris Keiffer; and her great-grand puppy, “Copper Moyer.”
In addition to her parents, Beverly was preceded in death by a son, James E. “Jamie” Stewart, in 2012.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, August 20, at 6 p.m. at the VFW Forrest Lodge, Post #245, 2118 Old Bethlehem Pike, Sellersville, PA 18960.
