Robert J. Steffan

Robert J. Steffan, of Sellersville, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2015, at his residence. He was the beloved husband of Elma (Eichelberger) Steffan for 48 years. He was 79.

Born in Quakertown, he was the son of the late Harry R. and Bertha M. (Hillegas) Steffan.

He had attended Pennridge High School and received his GED in 1970.

Bob had been employed as an upholsterer for Vogel & Feingold Inc., of Telford for 50 years and self-employed as a re-upholsterer for 45 years. He had also worked as a custodian at Bethel Baptist Church, Sellersville from 2006-2009.

Mr. Steffan was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, Sellersville.

Bob enjoyed tinkering with lawn mowers.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Steffan is survived by his four children: Robert T. Steffan, of Fogelsville; Scott J. Steffan and his wife, Cindy, of Mechanicsburg; Jeff R. Steffan and his wife, Diana, of Daniels, WV; Jay A. Steffan and his wife, Melanie, of St. George, UT; eight grandchildren: Kimberly, Andrew, Matthew, David, Sarah, Josiah, Jordan, and Anna; three brothers: Harry A. Steffan and his wife, Wanda, of Sun Valley, CA; Paul Steffan and his wife, Shela, of Knoxville, MD; Daniel Steffan, of Perkasie; and a sister, Judy Pascoe, and her husband, Andrew, of Irvington, KY.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Steffan, and his wife, Margaret, and a sister-in-law, Elizabeth Steffan.

His memorial service will be held at 7 p.m., Friday, March 27, at Bethel Baptist Church, 754 East Rockhill Road, Sellersville 18960, where a visitation will be held from 6-7 p.m. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Mr. Steffan’s name may be made to Bethel Baptist Church Faith Promise Missions or to Upper Bucks Christian School, both at the church address above or Grand View Hospice, 700 Lawn Ave., Sellersville, PA 18960.
