Virginia Evelyn "Ginny" Snyder, 81, of Sellersville, passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2024.
Ginny was the loving wife of Paul Snyder for 57 years.
Born in Temple, Texas, she was the daughter of the late John B. and Marie C. (Morrison) Griggs. Ginny earned her Master's degree from Temple University, Philadelphia.
Mrs. Snyder had been employed for 25 years at Merck Sharp & Dohme as a regulatory manager.
A devoted animal lover, Ginny doted on her dogs; particularly the Brittanie’s, many of which she helped to train and show in competition. The family also owned horses, with Ginny’s absolute favorite being “Mr. Tee,” a black Tennessee Walker.
A voracious reader, she always had a book near to hand. After retirement she helped manage the Perkasie Library Thrift Shop and also organized/managed an annual book sale to benefit the library.
Family vacations involved extensive world-wide travel, but Ginny best loved a summer week with the family at Keuka Lake, NY, part of the Finger Lakes. Ginny also enjoyed going out to dinner with friends.
Ginny would love to be remembered as the amazing person she was prior to the battle with her illness.
In addition to her husband, Ginny is survived by her son Kevin (Michele) Snyder; three grandchildren: Evie, Ellie, and Daniel; her sister, Carolyn (Robert) Burke; three brothers-in-law: James Welch, Philip Snyder, and Gordon Snyder; and many other loving family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Sharon Welch.
A visitation will be held on Friday, January 3, 2025, from 4 -7 p.m. in the Betty Meier Steeley Funeral Home, 87 N. Main St., Sellersville, PA 18960. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 4, at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Sacred Heart Church, 100 Broad St., Hilltown, PA 18927
Interment will follow in Our Lady of Sacred Heart Cemetery, Hilltown.
