Thomas J. Snedaker, of Souderton, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, in Jefferson Lansdale Hospital. He was 81.

He was the beloved husband of Sylvia Lee (Yoder) Snedaker for 59 years.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Nelson, Jr. and Doris (Underkoffler) Snedeker. He was a 1960 graduate of Souderton High School.

Following his graduation, Mr. Snedaker joined the U. S. Navy.

Upon his discharge, Tom began training and working in the computer industry. He had been employed by Unisys in Blue Bell for many years, retiring in 2006. As a young man, he had also worked as a policeman for the Souderton Police Department.

Always an avid sportsman, Tom most enjoyed bowling. Over the years, he had coached community youth sports, including swimming, baseball, soccer, and softball teams. He was also a fan of the professional Philadelphia sports teams, especially the Phillies and Eagles. Trips to the family homes at the shore and the mountains were other favorite pastimes.

A loving husband, father, and grandfather, he will be dearly missed by all.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Snedaker is survived by his three children: Bonnie Cossman, Derrick Snedaker, and Chad Snedaker (wife Erin); eight grandchildren: Zachary, Acacia, Juliann, Jonathan, Luke, Michael, Tia, and Danielle: a sister, JoAnn Kyttle; and several nieces and nephews.

His memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
