George F. Slozer, 90, a 25-year resident of the Lutheran Community at Telford, formerly of Sellersville and Perkasie, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2012, at his residence. He was the beloved husband of the late Ruth (Richter) Slozer for 35 years, until her death in 1996.
Born in Perkasie, he was the son of the late Herman J. and Helen May (Silberberger) Slozer.
Mr. Slozer had been employed as a foreman at the former Royal Pants Factory, Perkasie, retiring in 1986.
An avid gardener, George loved flowers and bird watching.
Mr. Slozer is survived by his two brothers: Herman Slozer, and his wife, Shirley, of Quakertown; and Frederick P. Slozer, and his wife, Marilyn, of Roebuck, South Carolina; a sister, Ida Bell, and her husband, Charles, of Ottsville; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers: Carl Slozer and Otto Slozer; and two sisters: Louise Fly and Emma Carter.
His funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 21, 2012, in the Chapel at the Lutheran Community at Telford, 235 North Washington Street, Telford, PA 18969. Family and friends may call Saturday morning in the chapel from 10:00 A.M. until time of service.
Entombment will follow in the Perkasie Mausoleum, Perkasie.
