Helen F. (Lord) Sealey

Helen F. Sealey, 64, of Perkasie, formerly of Highlands Ranch, CO; Fairfield , OH; and Brooklyn, NY; passed away Tuesday, July 10, in Grand View Hospital, West Rockhill Township. She was the beloved wife of Winston Sealey. She and her husband, Winston, a Merrill Lynch retiree, would have celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary this September.

Born in Trinidad, West Indies, she was a daughter of the late Livingstone and Doris (Jean Pierre) Lord. Helen came to the United States in 1968.

Mrs. Sealey was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, Sellersville. She had served as a Eucharistic minister in her former parish , Pax Christi, Highlands Ranch, CO, where she had baked the Host.

Involved in the banking and investment industry, Helen was employed by several area banks, including Chase Bank, New York.

Helen was a homemaker par excellence, who loved to sew, cook, garden, and entertain. Her neighbors especially loved to receive her freshly baked bread. A perfect wife and mother, she was dedicated to the care and well-being of her loving family. Her life personified Proverbs 31, as “ a virtuous woman[whose] price is far above rubies.”

She is survived by her five children: Garfield Sealey, Parlin, NJ; LuAnn Sealey, Perkasie; Petal Young and her husband, Anthony, Littleton, CO; Sean Sealey and Kimberly Sealey, both of Perkasie; five grandchildren: Colin, Trevor, Meeshyelle, Justin, and Jordan; nine brothers and sisters: Harold Lord, New Jersey; Greta Mungo, Trinidad; Joyce Bridgewater, Silver Spring, MD; Daphne Bowen, South Orange, NJ; Kathleen Williams, Brooklyn, NY; Steve Lord, Brooklyn, NY; Carlos Lord, Trinidad; Patricia Francis, Trinidad; Marlene Lord-Lewis, Trinidad; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son, Colin, who died in 1977; and two sisters, Joycelyn King and Merlyn Council.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, July 16, at 10: 00 AM in St. Agnes Catholic Church, 445 North Main Street, Sellersville. Family and friends may call Sunday evening, July 15, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Betty Meier Steeley Funeral Home, 87 North Main Street, Sellersville or at the church on Monday morning from 9:00 AM to 9: 45 AM.

Interment will be in Sellersville Cemetery.
