Mazie R. Seachrist

Mazie R. Seachrist, of the Lutheran Community at Telford, formerly of Sellersville, passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at her residence. She was 92.

She was the beloved wife of the late Harold E. Seachrist for 46 years until his death in 1996.

Born in Almont, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Annie (Schuck) Leister.

Mrs. Seachrist was a homemaker.

Currently a member of St. Stephen’s United Church of Christ, Perkasie, Mazie was formerly a member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church, Sellersville.

An avid birdwatcher, Mazie especially delighted in spotting cardinals. For many years, she participated in a sewing club, enjoying time spent stitching and visiting with her friends. Her greatest joy, however, was in time spent with her family.

Mrs. Seachrist is survived by her two sons: Larry Seachrist and his companion, Chris Reichel, of Bethlehem, and Gregory Seachrist and his wife, Eleanor, of Las Vegas, NV; two grandchildren: Jason L. Seachrist and his wife, Marsha, of Telford, and Lisa A. Schwarzman and her husband, Michael, of Sellersville; two step-grandsons: William Ward and Joseph Ward; a great-granddaughter, Lauren Seachrist; and three step-great-grandchildren: Hayden Evans, Carlee Schwarzman, and Brayden Schwarzman.

In addition to her husband, Mazie was preceded in death by a daughter, Debbie A. Geho, in 1994; three brothers: Rosell L. Leister, Paul R. Leister, and J. Clair Leister; three sisters: Myrtle M. Oberton, Geraldine F. Klinger, and Perma L. Hibbs; and her long-time companion, Walton F. Kolb, in 2022.

Her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, May 23, in the Betty Meier Steeley Funeral Home, 87 North Main Street, Sellersville, PA 18960, where family and friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of service. Interment will follow in Sellersville Cemetery.
