Carol Lynn Schuster, of Perkasie, formerly of Sellersville, passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2023, in St. Luke’s VNA Hospice House, Bethlehem. She was 56.
She was the wife of Troy Albert Schuster for 25 years.
Born in Doylestown, she was the daughter of the late Clarence D. and Helga S. (Keisers) Yates.
Lynn was a 1984 graduate of Palisades High School, Kintnersville, where she had played on both the basketball and softball teams.
Mrs. Schuster was employed as a head teller/loan officer with Quakertown National Bank and Harleysville National Bank for 18 years. She was most recently employed with Carson Valley Children’s Aid as a payroll coordinator for seven years.
An exceptionally gifted bowler, Lynn had participated in a Quakertown league for many years. With her husband, she had also been a member of a semi-pro travel league. As a family member proudly noted, “She could ‘strike’ a lot of men off the lane.”
Lynn was an avid country music fan. She had also enjoyed attending dirt track racing events. An animal lover as well, Lynn especially cherished cats, often rescuing strays. She enjoyed all sorts of food but particularly loved tacos, and her sister Barbara’s chicken enchiladas, while always saving room for some seafood, including lobster.
In addition to her husband, Lynn is survived by her daughter, Robyn Lynn Newman, and son-in-law, Michael Newman; three sisters and one brother; many nieces and nephews; seven great-nieces and a great-nephew; and several friends that were like family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her in-laws, Norman and Lorraine Schuster, and one niece, Katelyn.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 11, in the Betty Meier Steeley Funeral Home, 87 North Main Street, Sellersville, PA 18960. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Lynn’s name may be made to the Bucks County SPCA, 60 Reservoir Rd., Quakertown, PA 18951 or to a cancer charity of one’s choice.
