Thilde Schleeweiss

Thilde Schleeweiss, a long-time resident of New Britain, passed away Thursday, August 3, 2017, at Manor Care-Sinking Spring. She was 96.
She was the beloved wife of the late Robert Schleeweiss for 72 years until his death in 2011.
Born in Forchheim, Germany, Thilde was the daughter of the late Johann and Kunigunda (Lohnert) Doerfler.
Mrs. Schleeweiss was a homemaker.
Robert and Thilde moved to New Britain in 1982.
For the next 25 years, they both served as volunteers at Doylestown Hospital. Thilde had also been active with the Girl Scouts.
Mrs. Schleeweiss is survived by her daughter, Linde K., and her husband, Harry Martin, of Boxford, Massachusetts; her son, Robert W. Schleeweiss, and his wife, Pat, of Reading; three grandchildren: Rob, Jenny, and Kristina; five great-grandchildren, William, Lily, Matthew, Jacob, and Liam; a brother, Helmut Doerfler; and a sister, Toni Kraus, both of Forchheim, Germany.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
Interment will be in Pinelawn Memorial Park, Farmingdale, New York.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Doylestown Health Foundation,
