Robert Schleeweiss

Robert Schleeweiss, 99, of New Britain, passed away Wednesday morning, July 13, 2011. He was the beloved husband of Thilde Schleeweiss for 72 years.
Born in Tübingen, Germany, he was the son of the late August and Marie Schleeweiss.
Having received his trade education in Germany, Robert immigrated to the United States in 1929, where he worked as a tool and die maker until his retirement in 1981.
Robert and Thilde moved to New Britain in 1982 and for the next 25 years, they both served as volunteers at Doylestown Hospital.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Schleeweiss is survived by his daughter, Linde K., and her husband, Harry Martin, of Boxford, Massachusetts; his son, Robert W. Schleeweiss, and his wife, Pat, of Perkasie; three grandchildren: Rob, Jenny, and Kristina; three great-grandchildren: William, Lily, and Matthew; and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
Interment will be in Pinelawn Memorial Park, Farmingdale, New York.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Robert’s name to the American Cancer Society, 700 Horizon Circle, Suite 201, Chalfont, PA 18914.
