Adel Salamon, 100, of Wyncote, formerly of Line Lexington and Norristown, passed away Tuesday afternoon, March 18, at her residence in the Wyncote Church Home, Wyncote. She was the wife of the late Laszlo Salamon, who died in 1995.
Born in Budapest, Hungary, she came to the United States in 1949 and settled in East Norriton.
A homemaker all her life, Mrs. Salamon also helped her husband in his position as sexton of the former Trinity United Church of Christ, Norristown, where they were members. More recently, she was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Lansdale.
Mrs. Salamon loved to garden. She was also a terrific cook and baker.
She is survived by a son: Attila and his wife, Shirley, Line Lexington; a daughter: Ildiko Young and her husband, Leslie, Harleysville; two grandchildren: Mark D. Salamon and his wife, Melissa A., Coopersburg; and Eric J. Salamon and his wife, Olivia, Seattle, Washington; and four great-granddaughters.
Services are private at the convenience of the family. Interment will be conducted in Valley Forge Memorial Gardens, King of Prussia.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the Wyncote Church Home, 208 Fernbrook Avenue, Wyncote, PA 19095.
