Timothy B. Sailer, 54, of Souderton, formerly of Quakertown and West Rockhill Township, passed away suddenly on Friday, June 1, 2012.
Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Joseph F. and Elizabeth (Mosca) Sailer, Sr. He had attended Pennridge High School, Perkasie.
Tim had been employed as a machinist at several area machine shops.
A self-taught musician, he loved playing guitar with his group, “Mike Stanley and Friends.” They had recorded an album cassette in 1994. Tim also enjoyed riding his motorcycle. He had studied small appliance repair and could tinker with and fix almost anything.
Tim is survived by his two daughters: Amy Lee Sailer and her husband, Matthew Schill, of Quakertown; Emily M. Sailer, of Lehighton; two grandsons: Christopher and Benjamin; a brother, Robert Sailer, of East Greenville; two sisters: Jo-Ann Kranz and her husband, Peter, of Harleysville; Geraldine Long and her husband, Barry, of Harleysville; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Tanya Sailer, in 2008, and a brother, Joseph “Joey” Sailer, Jr.
A Memorial Service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, July 6, 2012, at Deep Run Mennonite Church West, 1008 Deep Run Road, Perkasie. Family and friends may call at the church from 4:00 p.m. until time of service. Following the service, all are invited to a reception at 6:00 p.m.in the church Fellowship Hall.
Private interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Sellersville.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions to a charity of one’s choice.
