Bette M. (Meyers) Sacks, a lifelong resident of Perkasie and Sellersville, entered into eternal rest at her residence in the Rockhill Mennonite Community, West Rockhill Township, on Monday, April 28, 2014. She was 92.
Born in Perkasie, she was the beloved wife of the late Victor W. Sacks until his death in 1993.
Mrs. Sacks had been employed for many years at the former American Olean Tile Company, Lansdale, retiring in 1986.
Bette was a long-time member of St. Michael’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Sellersville.
An active volunteer at Rockhill, where she had resided since 1994, Bette had assisted in the produce store and gift shop and in activities throughout the community.
Bette loved to travel, read, and walk. A cat lover, she also enjoyed listening to music and doing word puzzles. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Sacks is survived by her two sons: Roland W. “Bill” Sacks and his wife, Charlotte, of Charleston, South Carolina; Dennis L. Sacks and his wife, Donna, of Sellersville; three grandchildren: Tracey Neill; Jeffrey Sacks and his wife, Erin, all of Sellersville; Christine Brockenfelt and her husband, Mark, of Charleston; and five great-grandchildren: Jessie Neill; Emily Neill; Steven Sacks; Kate Sacks; and Delaney Brockenfelt.
Her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, May 1, in the Learning Center (adjacent to Adult Daycare Services) of the Rockhill Mennonite Community, 3250 State Road, Sellersville, PA 18960, where a visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of service.
Interment will follow in Sellersville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Bette’s name to the Bucks County SPCA, P.O. Box 277, Lahaska, PA 18931.
