Michael Russo, Jr.

Michael Russo, Jr., 74, of Cambridge, MD, formerly of Wellsboro, Collegeville, and Lansdale, passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2013, in Dorchester General Hospital, Cambridge, MD. He was the beloved husband of Barbara Mae (Bean) Russo for 35 years until her death in 2010.

Born in Lansdale, he was the son of the late Michael Russo, Sr. and the late Sara (Fosbenner) Russo Hunsberger.

Mr. Russo was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in the late 1950’s.

Michael had been employed as a carpenter and pick-up truck driver. He was a member of the Christian Biblical Church of God, Hollister, CA. He was an avid hunter and had enjoyed taxidermy in his early years.

Mr. Russo is survived by his six children: Michael Harold Russo, Tena Russo Cheaton, Linda Wolf Bunty, Joseph Wolf, Paul Russo, and Michelle Russo; eight grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

His funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 6, 2014, in the Betty Meier Steeley Funeral Home, 87 North Main Street, Sellersville, PA. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.

Interment will be conducted in Frieden’s Union Cemetery, Sumneytown.
