Judith A. "Judi" Robertson, 69, of Perkasie, formerly of Northeast Philadelphia, went Home to be with the Lord in Mercy Suburban Hospital, East Norriton Township, on Thursday, September 22, 2011.
Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Archibald M., Jr., and Eleanor (Abey) Robertson.
In her younger years, those who knew Judith best called her by her nickname, "Robin." Later, she went by "Judi."
Judi was graduated from Temple University with a degree in accounting.
She had been employed as a drug and alcohol counselor.
Judi had most recently been a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Perkasie. Formerly, she had been an active member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, in Lawndale, Philadelphia, for many years, where she had served as a Luther League advisor.
When her children were young, Judi had volunteered as a Girl Scout leader.
She had been a friend of Bill W. for 20 years.
Judi enjoyed performing with her musical theater group. She also loved to learn and was interested in genealogy. She especially loved her many dogs.
Judi is survived by her three daughters: Michelle Schultz, of New Smyrna Beach, Florida; Donna Scalzo, and her husband, John, of Pennsauken, New Jersey; and Karen Paterson, of New Smyrna Beach, Florida; six grandchildren: Tedd, Jennifer, Amanda, Samantha, Cristina, and Johnny; two great-grandsons: Jason and Landon; and a sister, Carol Smart, and her husband, Robert, of Philadelphia.
Her Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, September 27, 2011, at 11:00 AM in the Betty Meier Steeley Funeral Home, 87 North Main Street, Sellersville, PA 18960. There are no calling hours.
Interment will follow in Ivy Hill Cemetery, Philadelphia.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 19 South Fifth Street, Perkasie, PA 18944.
