Eugene Roberts went on ahead to be with our LORD & Savior, Jesus the Christ, on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, in Abington-Lansdale Hospital-Jefferson Health. We pray that all who read this follow the same pathway.
He was the beloved husband of Sherry (Miller) Roberts for 42 years.
Gene grew up in East Barre, Vermont and later moved to Pennsylvania with Sherry.
He became a life member of the Sellersville Fire Department, serving with their Fire Police. Our purpose on earth is to yield our life to The LORD to allow God to work through us to do His will (Matthew 6:10) for His Glory.
Gene had a roller coaster life with his bi-polar illness. But "our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us." (Romans 8:18) The LORD "comforts those who mourn...". (Isaiah 61:2) "He fills us with Joy .. and Peace ...which is beyond our understanding.” (Romans 15:13) (Philippians 4:7) “We know how dearly God loves us, and we feel this warm love everywhere within us because God has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with His love." (Romans 5:5 LB)
His Comfort, His Joy, His Peace, His Love ....
Gene is survived by his wife, Sherry; his daughter, Nicole Kasak (Kevin); a grandson, Jaeden; and a granddaughter, Kya. He is also survived by one brother, Dennis Roberts (Linda), in Vermont; a brother-in-law, Larry Miller (Cindy), in Montana; three sisters- in-law; and many nieces and nephews.
The service will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bethany Bible Fellowship Church, 75 West Broad Street, Hatfield, PA 19440.
"Praise be to the God and Father of our LORD Jesus Christ! In His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil, or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you." (1 Peter 1:3-4 NIV)
