Norman F. Pearson

Norman F. “Pete” Pearson, 81, of Sellersville, formerly of Philadelphia, passed away Wednesday evening, October 17, at his home. He was the husband of the late Leona (Turk) Pearson, who died November 27, 1982.

Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late William and Edith (Delmar) Pearson.

Pete was a US Navy veteran, having served during World War II in the Pacific Theater.

He had been employed as a truck driver for most of his life and was a member of Teamsters Local 830. He was also a firefighter for the Philadelphia Fire Department.

Pete was a member of St. Michael’s Lutheran Church, Sellersville. He was a former member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Philadelphia.

He is survived by a daughter: Doris L. McNorton and her husband, John, of Turnersville, NJ; three sons: David N. Pearson and his wife, Linda, of Hampton, VA; William F. Pearson and his wife, Kathleen, of Churchville; Michael H. Pearson and his wife, Marjorie, of Feasterville; his longtime partner, Dorothy “Jean” Parrish, Sellersville; and Jean’s daughter, Dorothy Bechtle and her husband, Reid, of Clifton, VA; ten grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

His Funeral Service will be held on Monday, October 22, at 11 AM at St. Michael’s Lutheran Church, 25 East Church Street, Sellersville, PA 18960 . Friends and family may call at the church Monday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Interment will be in Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Prospectville.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to St. Michael’s Lutheran Church at the above address or to the charity of one’s choice.
