John H. Paul, 86, an 11-year resident of Sellersville, formerly of Glenside, Pennsylvania, and Largo, Florida, passed away on Tuesday evening, March 17, 2009, in Holy Redeemer St. Joseph Manor, Meadowbrook (Abington Township). He was the beloved husband of Phyllis (Milligan) Paul for 57 years.
Born in Philadelphia, Mr. Paul was the son of the late Harry and Catherine (Lyons) Paul.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in the European Theatre during World War II.
John had been employed for 36 years as a printer for the former Forms, Inc., Willow Grove, then Spectographics, also of Willow Grove, retiring in 1984.
He was a parishioner of St. Agnes Catholic Church, Sellersville, and had been a member of the Knights of Columbus, Cardinal James A. Flaherty Council #3128, Glenside.
Mr. Paul had been a member of Sandy Run Country Club, Oreland, where he enjoyed playing golf.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his five children: Kate Hoehn, and her husband, Marty, of Export, Pennsylvania; Marie Paul, of Sellersville; Maryann Wells, and her husband, Steve, of Largo, Florida; Marshall Paul, and his wife, Leah, of Quakertown; and Doug Paul, and his wife, Stacey, of Chalfont; seven grandchildren: Jessica; Lesley; Rachel; Jason; Marshall; Gwendolyn; and Gracelyn; seven great-grandchildren: Jada; Jackson; Peyton; Jalen; Jordan; Colin; and Jillian; and two sisters: Millie Rowan, and her husband, Jack, of North Wales; and Marie Kehan, of Cherry Hill, New Jersey.
Mr. Paul was preceded in death by a brother, William Paul.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 23, 2009, at 10:00 A.M. in St. Agnes Catholic Church, 445 North Main Street, Sellersville, PA 18960, where family and friends may call from 9:00 A.M. until time of Mass.
Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Philadelphia.
