James D. Passaretti

James D. Passaretti, 56, of East Rockhill Township, formerly of Northeast Philadelphia, passed away suddenly on Thursday, January 21, 2016, at his residence.

He was the beloved husband of Marianne (Soufflas) Passaretti. They had just celebrated their 23rd wedding anniversary on January 9.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of Alice Constance (Borek) Passaretti, of Philadelphia, and the late James Passaretti.

He was a 1977 graduate of Abraham Lincoln High School, Northeast Philadelphia.

Jim had been employed for 12 years as the head HVAC engineer at Montgomery County Community College. Prior to that, he had worked in HVAC at Temple University.

Along with his wife, he had attended Calvary Church, Souderton.

An avid golfer, Jim also loved fishing and hunting. He was also a passionate Philadelphia Phillies and Flyers sports fan and enjoyed attending sporting events. He especially loved snow tubing with his daughters.

In addition to his wife and mother, Mr. Passaretti is survived by his two daughters, Alexandria “Allie” Marie Passaretti and Jamie Danielle Passaretti, both of East Rockhill; and basset hound “Daisy,” his “third daughter.”

His memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, February 18, in the Steeley Funeral Home, 87 North Main Street, Sellersville, PA 18960, where a visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Mr. Passaretti’s name may be made to the funeral home to help defray costs.
