Charles T. “Chuck” Palmer, of North Wales, passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2024, in Jefferson Lansdale Hospital. He was 80.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Thomas C. and Violet Margaret (Stewart) Palmer. Chuck was a 1961 graduate of William Tennent High School, Warminster.
Mr. Palmer was a U. S. Army veteran, having served in Heidelberg, Germany.
Chuck had been employed for 30 years as a purchasing agent by American Meter, in Horsham.
A Civil War history buff, Chuck also enjoyed reading police procedural mysteries, particularly the works of James Patterson. Another favorite activity was the set-up of his train sets, especially the Christmas platforms. He also enjoyed getaway visits to Long Beach Island, NJ with his family and close friends.
Chuck is survived by his brother, Thomas C. Palmer, of Ocean City, NJ; two sisters: Patricia C. Ferri and her husband, Peter J., of Pipersville, and Sharon L. Hazard and her husband, James, of Winter Haven, FL; two nephews: Stephen Ferri and David Hazard; five nieces: Linda Doelp, Diane Cosgrove, Victoria Boardman, Susan Palmer, and Cathy Helm; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a nephew, Peter P. Ferri, in 2021.
His Memorial Service will be held at 12 p.m. on Friday, September 6, in the Betty Meier Steeley Funeral Home, 87 North Main Street, Sellersville, PA 18960, where a visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until time of service.
Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
