Kathleen B. "Dolly" (Nichols) Orner

Kathleen B. "Dolly" Orner, 62, of Sellersville, formerly a 36-year resident of Perkasie, entered into eternal rest Tuesday evening, January 20, 2009, at Grand View Hospital, West Rockhill Township. She was the beloved wife of the late Donald H. Orner, who died in 2003.

Born in Beaufort, South Carolina, she was the daughter of Annette (Reckner) Nichols, Harleysville, and the late William Nichols. She was a 1965 graduate of Lansdale Catholic High School.

Mrs. Orner had been employed as a nursery school teacher for many years at Building Blocks Learning Center, Doylestown, and prior to that, at TLC Child Care Center, Perkasie.

Dolly was a talented oil painter and gifted piano player. She loved the ocean. Most especially, she was a dedicated, loving mother.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her two daughters: Nadine Miller, and her husband, David, of Glenside; and Monique Lewis, and her husband, Joshua, of Lansdale; three grandchildren: Samuel; Zachary; and Kara; three sisters: Jeanette White, of Lansdale; Teresa Kotulka, and her husband, Stanley, of State College; and Shirley Santaniello, and her husband, George, of Sellersville; a brother, William F. Nichols, Jr., and his wife, Elaine, of Schuylkill Haven; many nieces and nephews; and her three cats: "Holly;" "Skippy;" and "Phoenix."

Her funeral service will be held Saturday, January 24, 2009, at 12:00 Noon in the Betty Meier Steeley Funeral Home, 87 North Main Street, Sellersville, PA 18960. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday morning, from 11:00 A.M. until time of service.

Interment will be held privately.
