Lydia Ohlin, of Sellersville, passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at her residence. She was 85.
She was the beloved wife of the late Norman C. Ohlin until his death in 1991.
Born in Munich, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Betz.
In the 1950s, Lydia met Norman in Germany during his U. S. Army deployment. She came to the United States in 1956.
Mrs. Ohlin had been employed for many years at Fischer & Porter Company, Warminster.
Lydia was a talented seamstress and avid woodcrafter, making large exterior holiday decorations, including reindeer and sleds.
Mrs. Ohlin is survived by her daughter, Melitta Ohlin; three sons: Fred Ohlin, Eric Ohlin, and Earl Ohlin; four grandchildren: Eric, Ashley, Alex, and Ian; two great-grandchildren: Gabriel and Brooklyn; and a niece in Germany.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Peter F. Ohlin; a grandson, Jesse Ohlin; and several siblings.
Her Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 15, in the Betty Meier Steeley Funeral Home, 87 North Main Street, Sellersville, PA 18960, where a visitation will be held from 6 p.m. until time of service.
Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
