Verna Nonnemaker

Verna Nonnemaker, of Sellersville, passed away Saturday, February 11, 2017, at her residence in The Community at Rockhill, West Rockhill Township. She was 101.
She was the beloved wife of the late Norton G. Nonnemaker for 55 years until his death in 1992.
Born in Souderton, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary (Alderfer) Alderfer. Verna was a graduate of Souderton High School.
Mrs. Nonnemaker was a homemaker.
A long-time, active member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Sellersville, Verna had served on countless committees and on the Consistory.
For many decades Mrs. Nonnemaker had volunteered in numerous capacities at Grand View Hospital. She could often be found welcoming visitors at the front door reception desk.
As her family observed, “She lived a life dedicated to God and to her fellow man.”
She is survived by her son, James Nonnemaker, and his wife, Helen, of Palmerton; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mrs. Nonnemaker’s name may be made to St. Paul's United Church of Christ, 104 Green Street, Sellersville, PA 18960 or to Grand View Health Foundation Development Office, 700 Lawn Avenue, Sellersville, PA 18960.
