Michael J. Mullen, a six year resident of Sellersville, formerly of Chalfont and Staten Island, NY, passed away suddenly at his residence on Wednesday, July 2. He was the husband of Michele (Alderton) Mullen. They were married two years. He was 51.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was a son of Rita (Ohnmacht) Mullen, Staten Island, NY and the late Arthur Mullen.
Michael was employed by Universal Fabric Structures, Trumbauersville.
He was a former member of the Chalfont Fire Company and the VFW Forrest Lodge No. 245 Sellersville.
Michael was an avid fan of the New York Giants and the New York Yankees.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his children: Elysia; Teghen; and Keeley; three stepchildren: Richard, Victoria, and Jasmine; his three brothers: Donald, Larry, and Robert; and two grandchildren: Iziah and “Little” Ricky; and his mother-in-law: Louella Alderton. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Timothy.
A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday evening, July 8, at 6:30 PM in the Betty Meier Steeley Funeral Home, 87 North Main Street, Sellersville. Family and friends may call Tuesday evening, from 5:30 PM until 6:30 PM in the funeral home. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
