Luella G. Moyer, 91, of the Rockhill Mennonite Community, West Rockhill Township, formerly a long-time resident of Telford R. D., passed away Thursday afternoon, July 23, 2009, in her residence. She was the wife of the late Harold H. Moyer, to whom she was married 53 years.
Born in Lower Salford Township, she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Adeline (Godshall) Swartley.
Mrs. Moyer had been employed at the former Franklin Pottery, Lansdale. She later worked at Penn Pants, Sellersville. Primarily a homemaker after her marriage, she helped her husband with the running of their crop farm business, Branch Valley Farm, Telford.
For several years, she had attended the Diamond Street Chapel, Hatfield, but most recently she had attended the Valley View Bible Church, Telford.
An avid gardener, Mrs. Moyer also enjoyed going to farm markets and auctions.
She is survived by a daughter, Sandra M. DeHaven, and her husband, Curtis J., of Doylestown; two grandsons: Jacob M. DeHaven and Alexander H. DeHaven, both of Doylestown; and a sister, Mary Shermetta, of West Rockhill Township.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Moyer was preceded in death by a brother, Roland Swartley.
Her Funeral Service will be held Thursday morning, July 30, 2009, at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of the Rockhill Mennonite Community, 3250 State Road, Sellersville, PA 18960. Family and friends may call at the chapel from 10:00 AM until time of service.
Interment will be in Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery, Kulpsville.
