June E. Moyer, 84, a 60-year resident of Souderton, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 13, 2009, in St. Luke’s Hospital, Fountain Hill. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard E. Moyer, who died in 1996. They had been married 50 years.
Born in Pipersville, she was a daughter of the late Lewis B. and Ida (Stockert) Kaelin.
June had been employed for 30 years as head cashier with ACME Markets, Souderton, retiring in 1987. Prior to that, she had been a pretzel twister at the Trotter Family Pretzel Business, Lansdale.
She was a lifetime member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Telford, where she had taught Sunday School and was a member of the women’s group.
June was a very caring person, always looking out for others. She was an avid gardener, who especially enjoyed raising roses. She also enjoyed BINGO, cross-stitching, NASCAR races, and watching "Jeopardy" and "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire." Most of all, she loved spending time with her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Moyer is survived by her four children: Linda L. Worman, and her husband, Donald, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Charlene A. Summarell, and her husband, Jan, of Shepherdsville, Kentucky; Patricia D. Bauknecht, of Souderton; and Terry L. Moyer, of Key West, Florida; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two brothers: Russell Kaelin, and his wife, Linda, of Lansdale; and Richard "Butch" Kaelin, and his wife, Elizabeth, of Telford.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Kaelin, who died in World War II.
Services were held privately last week.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Manna on Main Street, 514 West Main Street, P.O. Box 763, Lansdale, PA 19446.
