Robert W. “Winnie” Moore, a life-long resident of Sellersville, passed away Thursday, November 3, 2016, in Doylestown Hospital. He was 79.
He was the beloved husband of Lucille (McIntyre) Moore for 61 years.
Born in Sellersville, he was the son of the late Gertrude (Moore) Snyder. He was raised by his uncle, the late Francis “Fritz” Kemmerer.
Mr. Moore was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in Okinawa during the late 1950s.
Bob had been employed at Lemmon Pharmaceutical Company, Sellersville. He had also owned and operated a Penn Jersey store in Souderton. Most recently, he had been employed as a maintenance worker at the Pennridge Airport, Perkasie and as a custodian for the Deibler Elementary School, Perkasie.
He was a long-time member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Sellersville.
Winnie was a member of the Nase-Kraft American Legion Post 255, Sellersville and the NRA.
An avid hunter, Bob also loved being outside and caring for his property, especially mowing the lawn. He had enjoyed bi-annual trips to Picton, Canada with his wife. He most loved spending time with his family, particularly his grandchildren and three great-grandsons.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two daughters, Deborah Mister Weaver and her husband, Robert L., of Galeton, PA; Robin Frank and her husband, Alan, of Perkasie; two grandchildren, Timothy Frank and his wife, Krystal, of Sellersville; Lindsay Brooks and her husband, TJ, of Lenhartsville, PA; and three great-grandsons, Nikolas and Lukas Frank and Harvie Brooks.
His memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, November 9, in St. Paul's United Church of Christ, 104 Green St., Sellersville, where a visitation will take place from 10 a.m. until time of service.
Interment with full military honors will follow in Sellersville Cemetery, Sellersville.
