Betty L. (Cressman) Moore

December 24, 1928 — June 8, 2009

Betty L. Moore, 80, a 56-year resident of Perkasie, passed away on Monday afternoon, June 8, 2009, at Quakertown Center - Genesis HealthCare, Quakertown. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert O. Moore, who died in 1984.

Born in West Rockhill Township, she was the daughter of the late Horace K. and Hattie (Gill) Cressman.

She attended Sell-Perk High School.

Mrs. Moore had been employed for 20 years in the housekeeping department at Grand View Hospital, West Rockhill Township, retiring in 1993.

She was a long-time member of St. Andrew’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Perkasie.

Betty was interested in local history, especially covered bridges and the preservation of the Perkasie Carousel. She also enjoyed bird watching and flower gardening.

Mrs. Moore is survived by her two sons: Scott Moore, of Perkasie; and Darrin Moore, and his wife, Bonnie, of Coopersburg; a step-granddaughter, Jess, of Coopersburg; and a sister, Inez McClenaghan, and her husband, Charles, of Hatfield.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers: Grant Cressman and Wayne Cressman.

Her Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 12, 2009, at 11:00 AM in the Fellowship Hall of St. Andrew’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Dill Avenue and Chestnut Street, Perkasie, PA 18944. Family and friends may call on Friday morning at the church, from 10:00 AM until the time of service.

Interment will be in Sellersville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Memorial Fund of St. Andrew’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 257, Perkasie, PA 18944.
