A. Margaret (Hinkle) Moore

December 4, 1920 — February 18, 2013

Anna Margaret Moore, formerly a long-time resident of Sellersville, passed away Monday, February 18, at the Lutheran Community at Telford. She was the beloved wife of the late Irvin E. Moore for more than 37 years until his death in 1979. She was 92.

Born in Sellersville, she was the daughter of the late Frank A. and Florence (Shelly) Hinkle.

Margaret was a graduate of Sell-Perk High School, where she had played field hockey, basketball, and softball.

She had been employed at several former clothing factories in Sellersville, including Penn Pants, Lutz’s, and Carr-Vinn.

Mrs. Moore was a lifelong member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church, Sellersville, where she was active with the Music and Worship Committee and served as the assistant church organist for 40 years.

She had volunteered with the Girl Scouts and was a member of the Girl Scout Council.

A devoted musician, Margaret had studied with Richard Van Auken and the late Catherine Hoagey.

Mrs. Moore is survived by her daughter, Sandra L. Nalepa; her son, Dennis I. Moore and his wife, Polly; three grandchildren: Stephen M. Nalepa; Joyce A. (Nalepa) Weiner; Christine James; five great-grandchildren: David Nalepa; Heather Karabin; Alisha Nalepa; Paige Nalepa; Sean James; five great-great grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, LaRue Hinkle.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Eugenia E. “Jean” Aunchman and Eleanor M. Weidemoyer; a brother, Franklin J. Hinkle; a great-grandson, Cody A. Nalepa; a great-granddaughter, Brittani N. James; a son-in-law, Thomas A. Nalepa; and a grandson-in-law, Robert Weiner.

Her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 22 in St. Michael’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 25 East Church Street, Sellersville, PA 18960. Family and friends may call at the church Friday morning from 10 a.m. until time of service.

Interment will follow in Sellersville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael’s Lutheran Church at the above address.
