Edward R. Montai

Edward R. Montai, 82, of Sellersville, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, September 16, 2009, after a long, brave battle with bone cancer. He was the beloved husband of Janice L. (Koons) Montai. They were married for 48 years.
Born in West Rockhill Township, he was the son of the late Rudolph and Ida Montai.
An auto mechanic, Ed owned and operated Montai Service and Inspection Station, Almont, West Rockhill Township, for many years. He was a member of Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church, Almont.
He loved fishing and enjoyed planting flowers and trees.
In addition to his wife, Ed is survived by his three daughters: Debra L. Montai, of Sellersville; Sheri A. Montai, of New Hope; and Laura J. Montai, of Sellersville.
He was preceded in death by two sisters: Elsie Beard and Agatha Kuhn; and an infant brother.
His Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2009, at 11:30 A.M. in Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church (Almont), 733 Ridge Road, Sellersville, PA 18960. Family and friends may call Tuesday morning at the church from 10:00 A.M. until time of service.
Interment will be conducted privately in Jerusalem Union Cemetery, Almont, West Rockhill Township.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 700 Horizon Circle, Suite 201, Chalfont, PA 18914.
