Carol Louise Moffett, of Sellersville, formerly of Quakertown, Souderton, and Honey Brook, passed away Thursday, December 5, 2013, in Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, Salisbury Township. She was 63.
Born in Valley Township (Chester County), she was the daughter of the late Marvin C. and Louise S. (Shumway) Moffett.
Carol had been a member of First Baptist Church, Lansdale and had most recently attended Bethel Baptist Church, Sellersville.
A beloved sister, friend, and God’s special child, Carol’s kind and gentle spirit touched the lives of all who have known her. Often characterized as the peacemaker in typical family or friends’ conflicts, she taught many lessons of compassion, patience, forgiveness, and unconditional love to all who would learn.
Her life was a testimony to God’s grace and the compassion that Christ has for all of us.
Carol’s family is grateful for the love and care that she received throughout her adult life from Lifepath and the staffs of Diamond Street and Hillcrest. Special thanks to the attending physicians and staff in the Neuroscience ICU, Medical ICU, and the OACIS team of Lehigh Valley Hospital, with a special thank you to nurses, Jane and Lisa.
Carol is survived by a sister, Mary M. Baldwin, and her husband, Charles “Chuck”, of Centre, AL; a brother, Mark S. Moffett, and his wife, Sandy, of Middlebury Center, PA; a sister-in-law, Kathy Moffett, of Florida; three nieces: Michelle Lee Moffett and her fiancé, Tim Fleming; Christina Ann Koester and her husband, Boyd; Tamara Lee Williams and her husband, Richard; and numerous grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Marvin C. Moffett, Jr.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 11, 2013, in the Betty Meier Steeley Funeral Home, 87 North Main Street, Sellersville, PA 18960. A visitation will be held Wednesday morning at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until time of service.
Private interment will be in Glenwood Memorial Gardens, Broomall.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions in Carol’s name to LifePath, Inc., 2 LifeMark Drive, Sellersville, PA 18960.
